Medical aids

As of 1 January 2023, children from Ukraine with temporary refuge have access to health care in the same way as Slovak children (from 0-18 years of age inclusive). This health care also covers children from Ukraine with health disadvantages and also covers selected medical devices for children from Ukraine up to the same amount as public health insurance for Slovak children. Medical devices partially or fully reimbursed by public health insurance can only be obtained on the recommendation of a specialist doctor with professional competence co tarry out specialised professional activities in the relevant specialisation area under a specific Regulations.
